The Nexus Player is manufactured by Asus. It allows you to watch programmes and movies, play games and use apps on your TV. The Nexus Player console has Android installed into the device so runs as a standalone player connected to the TV.

At the moment Google have announced a small range of apps, which includes YouTube and Netflix. Apart from these there is nothing that really catches the eye so far but I am sure more will emerge.

There will also need to be a good variety of dedicated games for the Nexus Player. So far no games have been announced
