Use the following steps to add fonts to inkscape

  1. Make sure inkscape is closed
  2. Navigate to the install path of inkscape (usually C:\Program Files\Inkscape)
  3. Go to the \etc\fonts\conf.d directory
    Inkscape font configuration files
  4. Open 51-local.conf in notepad++ (notepad or other text editor is fine, if you don’t have notepad++)
  5. Add the following line under the <include ignore_missing=”yes”>local.conf</include> line: 
    <vi>C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\Monotype\skyfonts-google</vi>

    Make sure to change the path to the fonts path that you wish to add

    Inkscape Skyfonts

  6. Save the file and close

Now when you start Inkscape your font should be included.
