How to enable hibernation on Windows 8 agus Windows 8.1?

When you press the power button on Windows 8 agus Windows 8.1, you will see the options Sleep, Shut Down and Restart but the hibernate option is missing.

This is because the option is disabled by default. I find hibernate a useful feature on a laptop as it shuts down the laptop whilst saving the previous session. This enables me to resume my work at a later time.

To enable the hibernate option on Windows 8 agus Windows 8.1, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the desktop of Windows 8
  2. Click on the battery icon on the bottom right and choose more power options
